Membership Information
Cadet Members
- Cadets are between 16 & 17 years of age and must have parents permission to join. They will serve as a cadet until their eighteenth birthday at which time they will be transferred to probationary status and serve at least a six month probationary period. During a cadet period cadets are assigned a mentor to follow and assist the cadets with training, education, and company procedures. Cadets hold no vote in the corporation.
Probationary Members
- All members with the exception of Honorary members shall serve a probationary period. Your probationary period will be from six to twenty four months. During this time they are required to meet the active service standards for probationary membership. This includes obtaining Firefighter I, and First Responder or EMT-B certifications. After completing your probationary period and obtaining the necessary certifications the member will be voted on for Regular membership status. Administrative members do not have to complete the classes.
Regular Members
- Regular members are at least 18 years of age and have completed their probationary period. Regular members are required to meet the Active Service standards for Regular members to maintain active status in the corporation.
Administrative Members
- Shall be at least 18 years of age and have completed their probationary period. These members serve as administrative personnel to do committee work, public relations, or to serve as an Administrative officer.
Life Members
- ny member who has served at least twenty years of active service to the Corporation. All members who meet the years of service will automatically be transferred to Life member status.
Honorary Members
- This is a special class of membership. It is open to any person of any age who, because of meritorious service to the Corporation or the Community, or who may be otherwise of high public esteem, be deemed by the membership to be worthy of the honor. Honorary members may only attend meetings of the Corporation by invitation and are entitled to no privileges or subject to any requirements of membership except as extended from time to time by the Corporation.
